Every thing we hoped for and more. Si, the guide was genuinely friendly and very knowledgeable about the area, plants and animals. He was very good at introducing everyone in the group and making everyone one feel at ease, with his jokes and facts.
We quickly saw a snake, near enough for photos but far away enough to feel safe! The jungle walk was spectacular in the size and height of the trees. Lots of great photo opportunities which get even better once you reach the top with spectacular views, while standing on a rocky view point.
There was a nice pause relaxing in hammocks before the ascent down. An unexpected surprise was the quality of the lunch stop at a road side food seller. She had collected leaves from the forest that were unique to us, to put in the salad. We had one of the most delicious meals of our 3 week stay in Vietnam. Then on to a short walk to see the waterfall which initially looks a tad touristy but Si finds a secret spot which is idyllic so you can swim and stand under the waterfall if you wish or just chilli and take in the amazing surroundings.
Great trip, would highly recommend! We enjoyed it so much we booked on another one of Si’s tours for the following day.
